The 18-Piece II is not difficult to take apart. The inside of the puzzle is a 6-piece burr, and the outside 12 pieces are all the same. The 6-piece burr has one interior cube which is missing. Curiously, if this interior cube is filled, then the burr cannot be completely taken apart.
